Clinician Alert
Fax System Failure April 21-26, New Health District Voice Line for Clinicians

April 26, 2021

Actions requested:

  • Please resubmit any COVID/SARS-CoV-2 test results, other notifiable condition case reports or laboratory results, or any other materials that you may have faxed to the Health District since noon on April 21, 2021.
  • Update contact information for the Health District’s healthcare provider voice line to 425.339.3503.

Background

  • Due to a network failure around noon on Wednesday, April 21, it was discovered that electronic storage of faxes received after that point have not been kept. Please resend any faxes that were previously sent from April 21 through April 26, 2021, to 425.339.8706.
  • With the increased call volume to our Communicable Disease Program due to COVID, clinicians are having difficulty getting through to 425.339.5278. The Health District has created a new phone line just for providers.
    • The new line at 425.339.3503 will ring the CD staff during the day. After hours, calls to this number will be answered by our contractor for after-hours call triage, the Washington Poison Control Center.
