HPV Vaccination is Cancer Prevention

January is cervical health awareness month

Cervical Health Awareness Month provides an opportunity to continue our focus on preventing cervical cancer, which affects thousands of women in the U.S. each year. Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers through HPV vaccination. Human Papillomavirus or HPV is a common virus that can lead to many different types of cancer later in life, including cervical cancer. Starting the HPV vaccination series at age 9 is the best way to protect your child's body from serious diseases caused by HPV. Learn more here.
