Greetings oss Professionals,

Snohomish County Health Department will begin hosting a new opportunity for OSS professionals to stay connected. These meetings will be available to all OSS professionals and will be referred to as the Septic Community of Professional Experts (SCOPE). This will provide an opportunity for OSS professionals to: 

• Learn about and share feedback on upcoming changes to the Snohomish County Board of Health Code 
• Ask questions about OSS permitting and other requirements 
• Stay up to date and connected to OSS-related news 
• Discuss challenges in the OSS field and possible solutions

When is the first meeting?

The first meeting will be held on Thursday, April 24th from 9:00-10:00am. All OSS professionals are welcome and encouraged to attend. The agenda for the first meeting will include an introduction to what SCOPE is, an opportunity to ask about recent WAC revisions, information about updates to the wastewater section of the Snohomish County Board of Health Code, and an open Q&A.

How do I attend meetings? 

Meetings will be hosted quarterly, online via Zoom. Please note that if you plan to join the meeting from a mobile device, you will need to download the free Zoom app (this is not necessary if you plan on joining from a computer or laptop). Aside from the first meeting, links to attend upcoming meetings will be sent to all OSS professionals in the quarterly newsletters. The link for the first meeting is below:
