Health Care Emergency Preparedness

Long Term Care Facilities, such as skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, are important parts of our health care system. These facilities provide vital services to many of our residents and families. During emergencies, they work to keep their own staff and residents safe as well as often try to absorb additional clients to alleviate and reduce the burden on hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

In order to assist these facilities with their emergency preparedness the Snohomish County Health Department has launched the Long-Term Care Facility Coalition to offer support and technical assistance. If your facility is interested in participating in this coalition, please email Jennifer Reid (jennifer.reid@co.snohomish.wa.us) to join.
