Dissolution of the Snohomish Health District

Public health officially integrated with Snohomish County government effective January 1, 2023. The new Snohomish County Health Department provides public health services to all residents of Snohomish County.

The Snohomish Health District is its own, independent special purpose district, and the dissolution of the District following its integration with the County will take time. Though staff, programs, contracts, and services have moved out of the Snohomish Health District and into the new Health Department, the District as an entity still exists until that dissolution is final.

This page is to ensure the public is aware of the processes being undertaken for dissolving the Snohomish Health District. All public notices related to that process can be found below.

Please note: The Snohomish County Health Department and the Snohomish Health District each have a Board of Health. They are not the same Board for both entities. To learn about the new Snohomish County Board of Health, please visit www.snohd.org/boardofhealth

All regular meetings of the Snohomish Health District Board of Health and its Executive, Administration, and Program Policy Committees for 2023 are cancelled. Special meetings will be noticed and published on this page for matters that require action by the Snohomish Health District Board of Health.

The Snohomish Health District Board of Health Executive Committee will meet at a special date and time on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 1:00 pm to discuss Health District business. The agenda can be found below.
