Guidance for Improving Accessibility of Public Health Communications

About the IDD Grant

The Snohomish County Health Department completed a grant-funded project focused on improving how we communicate with people who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. One key piece of the project included the creation and distribution of a guidelines document looking at best practices for communicating with the IDD community in Snohomish County.

In order for this work to be informed by the community, representatives from a variety of community-based organizations and diverse backgrounds participated in a consortium of community advisers.
