As-Built Records

The Health Department keeps septic system records in an online database called OnlineRME. This database includes as-built drawings and service history reports of current and past septic systems for properties in Snohomish County. These records can be useful for: 

  • Property owners doing landscaping or building 
  • Real estate professionals preparing for a purchase or sale 
  • Septic professionals doing maintenance or repair 

An as-built record can show the location of a septic system, the year it was installed, the type of system, and other useful details. If you need help understanding your records, please email us at SHD-EHQ@snoco.org for assistance.

WHAT IF I DON’t see RECORDS ONLINE? 

Some systems were installed before records were required. Additional information on the property’s septic system may be on file with the Health Department. Contact us to make a records request. Additionally, while service history reports are now required, they were not always required in the past. This can affect what service history reports you see in OnlineRME.
